Ingredients

  • 1 can (11 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original French Bread
  • Flour, for dusting
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup frozen meatballs
  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • 1 cup salsa con queso, warmed
  • Fresh tomatoes and basil, for garnish

Steps

  • 1
Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Open the French bread dough and place the dough log on a surface sprinkled with flour. Use your palms to roll the log of dough until it’s about 20 inches long. Circle the dough into a ring and pinch the edges together to seal. Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-22 minutes, or until the top starts to brown.
  • 2
Let the bread cool to the touch and use a serrated knife to cut slices about 1-inch apart in the bread around the ring, making sure not to cut all the way through the loaf.
  • 3
Stuff a rounded teaspoon of pizza sauce or marinara sauce between each slice. Then, stuff mozzarella and cheddar cheese between each slice, reserving a few tablespoons of cheese. Stuff a few pieces of pepperoni, a meatball and a few spinach leaves between each slice. Lightly sprinkle remaining cheese over loaf.
  • 4
Bake for 10-15 minutes or until cheese begins to brown. Remove from oven and drizzle pizza with warm cheese sauce. Top with tomatoes, basil and more pizza sauce if desired. Enjoy!

  • tip 1

  • tip 2
You can make the recipe vegetarian-friendly by omitting the meatballs and pepperoni and adding mushrooms in their place.
