Move over, hot cocoa! There's a hot new drink in town, and it's got everybody feeling spicy, saucy, and totally sippy.
When the chill of winter starts to set itself over the city, there's nothing like a hot drink to warm the bones. This fun, citrusy take on cider is a welcome change from the usual apple cider drinks.
Hot Orange-Spiced Cider
is simple to make, full of flavor, and wildly gorgeous.
Watch how easy this recipe is to whip up! Start with frozen Mango-Orange juice concentrate and just pour it right into a large pot. Add water according to package directions then toss in a tablespoon of pumpkin pie spice.
Throw in some orange slices. This will give your drink a nice little authentic orange kick.
Then add whole cinnamon sticks.
And whole cloves. The smell here will bowl you over. So nice.
A vanilla bean might seem like a strange addition, but it adds such lovely, mellow flavor.
And ye olde secret ingredient ... just a smidgen of almond extract before you slow-simmer your drink to let all those flavors melt together.
You want it. You need it. You're gonna love it.
