Enjoy these nutty drop cookies made with Betty Crocker® cookie mix – an easy-to-make distinctive treat!

Ingredients

1/2
cup butter or margarine, softened
2
eggs
5
drops yellow food color, if desired
1
pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ walnut chocolate chip cookie mix
2
tablespoons ground flaxseed or flaxseed meal
1/2
cup roasted salted sunflower nuts
1/2
cup sliced almonds
1/2
cup shredded coconut

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. In medium bowl, mix butter, eggs and food color. Stir in cookie mix until soft dough forms. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  • 2 On ungreased cookie sheets, drop dough by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 1 to 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks.
Tips

Flaxseed contains several essential nutrients, including calcium, iron, niacin and vitamin E. Store it in the refrigerator or freezer up to 6 months.

I just wanted to create a new recipe using healthier ingredients. My kids loved this cookie!
