If you’re like us, hummus is a snacking staple at your parties. We try to make our own as often as possible—but let’s be real, we don’t always have the time. Our next best option? Start with a quality hummus (we used Food Should Taste Good Chickpea hummus) and turn it into a fresh, flavorful and unique hummus with awesome add-ins. Here’s four ways you can be a hummus hero in no time!
Buffalo Hummus Dip
We’ll warn you right now: this hummus is addicting and easy. We took a tub of hummus and layered it high with chopped celery, blue cheese and Buffalo sauce. Serve it with some warmed pita wedges or a veggie platter and it’s sure to be gone in no time.
All that’s missing is a T-bone steak! Loaded with caramelized onions, thick-cut bacon and blue cheese, this hummus is hard to stop snacking on. Dip a crusty slice of toasted French bread in there and enjoy with a glass of red— you won’t be sorry.
Skip the guac at your next fiesta and opt for a bowl of seriously delicious Mexican-inspired hummus. We added a layer of spicy pico de gallo and topped it with chopped avocado and Mexican blend cheese. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips and get ready for a mouth party.
This combo is living proof that hummus was meant to live in harmony with olive tapenade. We stacked this hummus with sliced sundried tomatoes, a rich olive tapenade and lots of crumbled feta. Serve this as an appetizer before pasta night with some garlicky crackers or veggies. (Warning: you may not be hungry for dinner.)
