Try this simple, but delicious vodka cocktail for a night in with the girls!

More About This Recipe

  • Vodka just doesn’t get much attention these days, what with the resurgence of gin and brown liquor in general. Let’s not even mention all the fancy liqueurs or our friend vodka may simply wilt. (Chin up, vodka! Let’s not forget that you are STILL the nation’s favorite spirit!) One of vodka’s best qualities is that it mixes with practically everything under the sun, which results in a rather robust list of great vodka cocktails. The following are five of my favorite easy vodka-based recipes. Hope they will add a bit of spark to your summertime cocktail hours! Flirtini Cocktail: vodka, pineapple, and champagne, with a cherry garnish – what more could a girl want? “Push Pop” Cocktail: mandarin vodka and orange soda seem like an obvious combo – but it had never occurred to me until a friend mentioned it. Now I’m hooked! A touch of vanilla syrup turns this cocktail decadently nostalgic! Raspberry Hard Lemonade: Hard lemonade is a fantastic warm weather cocktail – the only thing better is adding a touch of sweet raspberry liqueur. Vodka Gimlet Cocktail: A Gimlet made with fresh lime juice is nothing short of incredible – you may never go back to preserved lime juice! Mandarin Cosmo Cocktail: white cranberry juice is the secret ingredient. Mandarin vodka is only the beginning. Let your Cosmo-fueled imagination run wild - substitute your favorite fruit flavored vodka for more twists on this classic! Cheers!
