Homemade Chili

Here's a quick, easy recipe that's been in my family for three generations. Like any chili recipe, add (or subtract) any ingredients to customize to your liking.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 2 cans condensed tomato soup
  • 1 can (15 oz) red kidney beans (or chili beans)
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • salt and pepper to taste

Steps

    In medium saucepan, brown ground beef over medium heat. Add onion and cook until translucent.
  • 2
    Add tomato soup, kidney beans, chili powder and cayenne pepper. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
