Zesty Lemony Cream-Cheese Frosting

This frosting is excellent on pumpkin bars, pumpkin cookies or spice cake -- or spread it between graham crackers for a quick snack.
Zesty Lemony Cream-Cheese Frosting

Ingredients
- 1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon zest
Instructions

Step1With an electric mixer, cream butter and cream cheese together.

Step2Add powdered sugar and beat until smooth.

Step3Juice and zest the lemon. Add juice and zest to frosting mixture. Stir. Use immediately.

Step4Store baked goods with this frosting in the refrigerator.
