  • 6 pieces of chicken of preference
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Muir Glen™ Organic tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce

    Season the pieces of chicken with salt and pepper to taste.

    Heat the grill or the oven broiler, letting the chicken cook on both sides. Grill the chicken on medium-high heat until cooked, 3 to 4 minutes per side. Or broil until cooked, 20 to 25 minutes, turning the chicken once during this time.

    To make the sauce, mix the rest of the ingredients in a deep container.

    Set aside a bit of this sauce to serve with the chicken.

    Remove the chicken from the oven, check for doneness, and use a kitchen brush to cover the chicken with the sauce.

    Finish cooking the chicken on the grill or in the oven, if needed.

    Serve the pieces of chicken on a tray and add more sauce.
