Easy Shrimp and Broccoli Stir-Fry

When we put the word “easy” in one of our recipe titles, we mean it. You can take this shrimp stir fry from kitchen to table in just 15 minutes, and it only uses 8 affordable ingredients to make. Hey—don’t ever say we didn’t ever do anything for you.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 lb shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seed oil
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cup broccoli
  • 1 cup shitake mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar

Steps

    In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, vinegar and honey. Set aside.

    In a large frying pan or wok, heat the sesame seed oil over medium-high heat until hot. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper as desired. Cook shrimp for about 3 minutes or until pink. Remove from frying pan and set aside.

    In the same pan, add garlic and broccoli. Stir-fry on medium-high heat for 3 minutes and then add mushrooms.

    Put the shrimp back in the pan, then add the prepared soy-honey sauce. Stir together to mix all the ingredients. Add more salt or pepper, if necessary. Serve immediately.
