This is very close to the original recipe--not a simplified sling! Developed by a bartender at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore around 1915, this classic cocktail has clearly stood the test of time.

Ingredients

  • 3 oz unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 1 1/2 oz gin
  • 1/4 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz cherry heering
  • 1/4 oz Bénédictine™
  • 1/4 oz Cointreau™
  • 1 dash angostura bitters
  • 1 wedge pineapple
  • 1 maraschino cherry

Steps

    Shake the pineapple juice, gin, lime juice, Cherry Heering, Bénédictine™, Cointreau™, and bitters with ice.

    Strain into a highball glass.
  • 3
    Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry on a toothpick.
