More About This Recipe
I think everybody can agree that one of the best parts of eating cereal as a kid is enjoying cereal milk. You know… the milk leftover in the bowl that has soaked up some of the delicious cereal flavor.
As an adult, I can do whatever I want so I decided to just make cereal milk since it’s my favorite part anyway. To take it a step further, I mixed that delicious Count Chocula cereal milk with one of my favorite cocktails: WHITE RUSSIAN!
There’s barely a recipe to cereal milk. You put cereal in the milk, obviously, and let time handle the rest.
It really only takes about 10 minutes. I went ahead and pulsed my milk in a blender a few to make almost a milkshake without the ice cream.
This will be good in any dessert cocktail!
To maximize some cereal even more, I pulsed cereal with some sugar in a small food processor. This is kind of an optional step but is totally classy.
You can use the sugar to rim the glasses for your cocktails.
Now it’s time to make a cocktail!
Step one, and often forgotten, chill your glass! It makes all the difference. Your drink will warm up really quickly if your glass isn’t chilled. I just put some ice and water in mine and let it sit for a few minutes.
The base for any good white Russian is vodka and Kahlua or your favorite coffee liquor. Combine those in a mixing glass.
Then add the cereal milk and shake everything together in a cocktail shaker!
To rim the glass, dip your glass in the cereal milk so just the very rim gets wet. Then dip it in the cereal sugar!
Strain your chilled cocktail into the cold glass and enjoy!
