Flaky golden crescent rolls filled with sweet and sticky caramel apple slices -- the easiest way to apple pie ever!




These Caramel Apple Pie Crescents are like mini apple pies. But while apple pie is usually a big-time big deal to make, these little hand-held pockets of apple-y goodness are sooooo easy. Really!

They scream fall and theyʼre the perfect appetizers or simple desserts for a fun get together with friends. Not to mention the best way to beat your apple pie craving fast.

No pie crust to form, no cutting up lots and lots of apples. For these -- just one apple and some easy-to-unroll Pillsbury crescent rolls! Come on along and make them, too, like this:

 

Ingredients for caramel apple crescents recipe.

Get out those awesomely easy ingredients. Slice the apple.

 

Dip apple slices into warmed caramel.

Dip the apple slices into sticky, gooey oh-my-graciously good caramel.

 

Roll caramel apple slices into cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Roll those sticky babies in cinnamon-sugar.

 

Roll caramel apple up in a crescent dough triangle.

Now roll 'em up in the crescent roll.

 

Brush crescents with butter.

Brush with butter (I know!), bake and cool a bit.

Caramel Apple Pie Crescents

tube (8 count) Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
1
large red apple
1
cup warm caramel sauce
1/2
cup sugar
2
tablespoons cinnamon
2
tablespoons melted butter

Directions

  • 1 Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and lightly grease a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
  • 2 Wash, peel and slice the apple into about 8 slices.
  • 3 Divide the crescent rolls into 8 triangles, and lay them out.
  • 4 In a small bowl, combine the cinnamon and sugar. Dip each apple slice in caramel and then roll it in cinnamon-sugar.
  • 5 Place the caramel apple slice on the wide end of a crescent roll triangle and roll up. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet. Continue with remaining crescents.
  • 6 Brush with melted butter and bake for about 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving either warm or cool.
