It’s everything you want to eat.
Know what I love? A crispy, crunchy deep fried jalapeño popper, that’s what.
I mean, is there anything more divine than biting into that crispy exterior to discover a spicy pepper loaded with cheesy goodness?
Well...maybe. What would you think if I told you that I took all the frying out of jalapeño poppers and instead turned them into a big ol’ party ring of flaky, delicious crescent dough? All the flavors of a popper, none of the stinky deep frying.
You guys are going to love this simple recipe!
You’re going to need two packs of crescent rolls, some diced cooked chicken, a handful of grated cheddar cheese, three jalapeño peppers and a brick of cream cheese.
Stir together the cream cheese, chicken, cheddar, and diced jalapeño peppers. If the mixture is hard to stir, just pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds and it’ll come right together.
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and lay out the crescent rolls to form a ring. You’ll want to overlap the base of the rolls so that you have a solid section to place your filling.
Spoon that filling right on the base.
Fold the ends up and over the filling and tuck the ends underneath the roll.
Pop this in the oven until it’s golden. I like to pop a bowl of ranch dressing right in the center of the ring to make dipping easy. (I don’t know about you, but I have to have ranch with my poppers!)
