More About This Recipe

  • The Munchies 2015 have arrived! People's Choice Food Awards recognize the most amazing tastes, faces and places in the food world. Here's an original recipe inspired by mashing up two of our award categories.

Wondering what pizzas, paninis and banh mi sandwiches have in common?

Not much really, except that when mixed together they make one amazing meal. And that’s what this unbelievably delicious mash-up of the Munchies categories for Best Pizza and Best Sandwich Spot delivers: an easy, cheesy Vietnamese-inspired panini that will quickly disappear and is perfect for a late night snack or even a quick dinner.

Here's how to get in on this panini action:

While your grill press is heating up, defrost a cheese flavored Totino’s Party Pizza in the microwave for 2-3 minutes or until the crust can be easily folded in half.

Once your pizza's defrosted spread 2 tablespoons of peanut sauce on half of the pizza and top with chicken, carrots, and bell peppers. Then fold the pizza in half.

And now comes the good part- place the pizza on the grill, close the top, and cook about 5 minutes until the crust is a crispy golden brown and the cheese is ooey-gooey and melty.

Remove the pizza from the grill, sprinkle fresh cilantro on the inside and then drizzle even more peanut sauce and cilantro on top.

Cut in half and try not to devour in one bite!

So easy to make and tastes so good, you'll want to make this every day.

And don't forget -- The Munchies voting starts February 23, so be sure to vote daily.
