Cheddar Sausage Pinwheels

Ingredients

can (8 oz) Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dinner rolls or 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dough sheet

cup cream cheese spread, softened (from 8-oz container)
1
tablespoon honey mustard
3/4
cup shredded Cheddar cheese (3 oz)
1/2
cup cooked breakfast sausage, cooled

tablespoons butter, melted

    Heat oven to 375°F. Spray large cooking sheet with cooking spray.

    If using crescent rolls: Unroll dough; separate dough into 4 rectangles. Firmly press perforations to seal. If using dough sheet: Unroll dough; cut into 4 rectangles.

    In small bowl, mix cream cheese spread and honey mustard. Spread each rectangle with about 3 tablespoons cream cheese mixture. Top with cheese and sausage.

    Starting at shortest side, roll up each rectangle; pinch edges to seal. Cut each roll into 6 slices. Place cut side down, 1 inch apart on cookie sheet. Brush pinwheels with melted butter.

    Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

Expert Tips

  • Spicy breakfast sausage is a great choice for this recipe, but any cooked breakfast sausage works. For a time saver, consider using precooked breakfast sausage crumbles found in the freezer section of your grocery store.
  • Want to dip these? Honey mustard or barbecue sauce works great as a dip on the side.
