Hello, sweet heat! Spiked with loads of dried chipotle peppers, brown sugar and a few simple herbs, this tasty change-up from traditional turkey seasoning flavors will rock your dinner table this Thanksgiving—or any other holiday.

Chipotle-Brown Sugar Turkey Seasoning

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons dried chipotle peppers
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  • Step

    In a small bowl, stir together all dry ingredients. Drizzle olive oil over your bird and use clean hands to coat the outside thoroughly with oil. Rub the dry mixture liberally on outside of turkey (or other poultry).

    Place any remaining seasoning inside turkey cavity. Makes about 1/2 cup of rub (enough for 1 medium turkey).
