Ingredients

  • 1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Classic Crust Pizza Crust
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 24 pieces pepperoni
  • 6 oz finely shredded Italian cheese blend
  • 60 mini pepperoni (optional)

Steps

  • 1
Preheat oven to 425°F and spray cavities of a muffin pan with cooking spray. Remove pizza dough from packaging and allow it to come to room temperature on a floured surface. Using a rolling pin or your hands, roll the dough out into a thin layer. Using either a round cookie cutter or a clean glass, cut rounds out of the dough. You want the circle to be slightly bigger than the size of the muffin cup.
  • 2
Gently stretch each circle of dough (without tearing) and press into muffin cups.
  • 3
Place a pepperoni at the bottom of the cup. This will help prevent it from getting soggy.
  • 4
Next place about 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of pizza sauce on top of the pepperoni. Add Italian cheese blend (as much or as little as you like).
  • 5
Top with mini pepperonis if desired.
  • 6
Bake for 12-15 minutes, depending on your oven, until cooked through, dough is golden brown, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

More About This Recipe

  • I’m not sure what makes mini food so fun, but it totally is. The season of football watching is upon us, and next to hot wings, pizza is probably one of the top football-watching treats. Forget a full-sized pizza for the game, and make these pop-in-your-mouth Deep-Dish Pizza Bites instead! You'll wow your guests by going the extra step and making pizza (and really it’s so simple) instead of just picking up the phone and dialing for delivery. Like delivery, they're ready in around half an hour. (But unlike delivery, they'll never take longer than that, even on a certain Sunday in February.) So step up your game day with these awesome bite-sized pizza snacks!
