An easy make ahead recipe that a friend I play tennis with passed along. We make this every summer for a Breakfast at Wimbledon party we host.

Ingredients

  • 6 slices white bread, buttered and cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 5 large eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground dry mustard
  • 3/4 cup diced ham
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced green pepper
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

    Night Before: Spray 13x9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Place bread cubes across bottom of pan.

    In large bowl, beat milk, eggs, salt and ground mustard until well blended. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

    Following Morning: Preheat oven to 325 ° F. Sprinkle ham, onion and green pepper over egg and bread mixture. Top with shredded cheese.

    Cover with foil and bake for 1 Hour; remove foil for last 10 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before serving.
