More About This Recipe

  • Morning, Mama! Here's a café-style macchiato made just for you!

Make your mama proud this Mother's Day by treating her not just to breakfast in bed, but the sort of breakfast that will warm her heart and soul.

This homemade Mommy Macchiato is as good as the one you'd pay five bucks for at the local coffee shop, but you made in your own kitchen, with your own hands. What better way to show your mom that you care?

Serve this 5-minute macchiato with one of the all-new Nature Valley Protein Bars for the ultimate morning nosh. You're mom is sure to wake up refreshed, relaxed, and glad to have you in her life (and why wouldn't she? You'd give any full-fledged barista a run for their coffee!) -- not to mention energized for the day.

A few other ways to make her morning macchiato moment extra-special:

    1. Macchiato 'n Mags

Deliver her steaming hot macchiato and Nature Valley Protein Bars with fresh Greek yogurt and berries, and a new gossip or gardening magazine. Shut the door and give her time to enjoy!

    2. Coffee with her Fave Peeps

Serve steaming macchiatos at a breakfast table surrounded by all of Mom's favorite people. Over breakfast, have each person share what they love about Mom, then offer a flower to her. Before breakfast is over, she'll have a fresh bouquet representing a few precious memories from her special day.

    3. Java al Fresco

Set a breakfast table outside, and invite Mom to sit in nature and enjoy being served a homemade meal along with a "talent show" by her favorite tots!
