More About This Recipe

  • Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with these easy-to-assemble cookies that are also adorable! This is nacho average Cinco de Mayo dessert. I happen to love Oreos™ of any kind, but the golden ones are especially delish. AND they make adorable taco cookies. I decided to kick up the cuteness a notch and make them extra festive for a fiesta. So I came up with Taco Gato cookies (or Taco Cat cookies)! Hey, I’m kinda proud I remembered the Spanish word for cat because my high school Spanish class was a loooooong time ago. But now that I think about it, maybe it should be Tacos el Gato or something like that. Like I said, Spanish class was about a bazillion years ago (and I probably didn’t get the best grade). Gather up some Golden Oreos™, Fruit Roll-Ups™, frosting, sprinkles and butterscotch chips and let’s get this fiesta started! You'll have cookies so cute that everyone will taco-bout them!
