Crescent Dogs cooked over a campfire? Yes!
I hate white rabbits, I hate white rabbits, I hate white rabbits...am I bringing back childhood memories of being engulfed in campfire smoke?
Well some things don't change, but this time while being engulfed in smoke, I was chanting "I want more crescent dogs, I want more crescent dogs, I want more crescent dogs"!
Well lo and behold, the more I chanted, the more Campfire Crescent Dogs were made, and subsequently, the more I ate. I had four -- don't judge me! They were delicious! Buttery flaky crescent rolls wrapped around the wonder of a pork product that is the hot dog, roasted over a campfire! Are you craving one yet?

Catch that? So easy! Here are the step-by-steps:
First, grab your dogs and your Pillsbury Crescent Rolls. Open the Pillsbury Crescent Rolls according to the package instructions (brace yourself, you might be in for a surprise POP!).
Once you have removed the dough, unroll it on a flat surface and separate one triangle of crescent dough. Place one end of the hot dog on the edge of the crescent roll and begin rolling so the majority of hot dog is covered by the crescent dough. Make sure the crescent dough overlaps at the end, otherwise it will fall apart.
Skewer your crescent dog on a stick and roast it over the fire until golden brown. I found that roasting away from the flames, but in a spot that is still quite hot, gives a nice even roasting.
Dip these Campfire Crescent Dogs in ketchup, mustard or whatever your favorite hot dog condiment may be!
