Aglio e Olio (Garlic Pasta)

This simple pasta dish is tasty and fast to make. It's great comfort food for nights when you don't have much time to cook. Serve it with a salad.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb thin spaghetti
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 10 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2/3 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • shredded Romano cheese

Steps

    Bring a pot of water to boiling and stir in pasta. While you are waiting for it to boil, prepare your ingredients.

    Heat oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Stir in chopped garlic and cook, stirring frequently until just barely golden brown...do not let it get any darker than that or it will become bitter.
  • 3
    Toss garlic/oil mixture with pasta and stir in parsley, salt and pepper. Top with cheese, if desired.
