  • 1
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet, and saute the onions and celery until soft. Add the minced garlic and cook for a minute stirring constantly.
  • 2
Add the pork and beef and cook until browned. Do not drain.
  • 3
Transfer the pork and beef mixture into a large pot on low heat. Stir in the shredded chicken, green bell pepper, chopped tomatoes and their liquid, ketchup, and barbeque sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and hot sauce. Mixture will be thick. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • 4
Stir the cream style corn into the pot. Continue simmering for 30 minutes or until desired thickness. Serve with warm bread.

Expert Tips

  • Don't make a trip to the store just for peeled tomatoes. You can easily use diced tomatoes as well.
  • Trying to snag a husband? Apparently all you have to do is make this Get A Husband Brunswick Stew, which is known to make men weak in the knees. If a warm simmering barbecue stew with three pounds of meat in it doesn’t send the men knocking on your door, then I don’t know what will. Unless you’re looking for a vegetarian man, this stew will likely do the trick.
