Ingredients

(11 oz.) packages Pillsbury™ refrigerated French loaf or Pizza Dough

cups shredded Colby-Jack cheese
1 1/2
cups shredded rotisserie chicken
1
cup barbecue sauce
1/3
cup fresh chopped cilantro (loosely packed)

scallions, thinly sliced

    Preheat oven to 375º F.

    Open Pillsbury™ dough package. Slice into 1/2-inch thick pieces, arranging pieces across bottom of a well greased 9x13-inch pan.

    When bottom of the pan is covered with one layer, mix together chicken, barbecue sauce, cilantro and scallions. Place dollops of chicken mixture across the top of dough slices until about half has been used.

    Top with about half of the remaining cheese, then layer remaining dough on top. Add dollops of chicken to the top layer, sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake for 28-32 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

And, of course, BBQ Chicken Pizza. Sweet and savory barbecue sauce drizzled over a warm pizza crust, topped with shredded chicken and flavor-bazoomed with cilantro and green onions. Top it all off with cheesy cheddar and you’ve really got a winning flavor combo.

A combo so good, you really don’t need to tinker. But we believe in the upgrade. And decided to turn this favorite pizza into a bubbly baked, pull-apart pizza. The results from our “testing panel” of party animals? “THIS IS THE BEST PIZZA EVAAARRRRRR!!”

The ingredient lineup starts here. Two tubs of Pillsbury™ pizza dough, cheese, more cheese, shredded rotisserie chicken, barbecue sauce and a few diced savories. That’s all you need, baby.

Open the pizza crust and slice into little rounds, as if you were slicing off icebox cookies from a frozen log.

Then layer these slices together with half of the cheese, barbecue sauce, chicken, scallions and cilantro. You can layer everything right in the baking pan. Or gently toss everything together in a large bowl and make sure it’s well mixed. Both methods make quick work of this simple task.

Layer it all in a well-greased 9x13-inch baking pan, then top with an additional layer of cheese and toppings. Just to keep it extra fabulous.

Bake until golden brown and puffy. Then garnish with some extra diced greens for added flair.

Call in the troops—it’s time to serve!
